The Bipartisan Policy’s Center Health IT Initiative national plan for expanding Health IT workforce to meet the growing demands of electronic health records, workforce growth and health IT adoption. The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act provides up to $30 billion in investments to address barriers to health IT adoption. BPC’s Health IT Initiative’s work is targeted at helping health care leaders—particularly those operating at the state level—effectively align efforts and leverage health IT to support their goals to resolve complex health system problems.
