Women are outperforming men when it comes to high school attendance and graduation rates, according to a report by the American Association of University Women. However, this gain for women doesn’t coincide with a decline in attendance and graduation rates for men. Standardized test scores have improved for both girls and boys at elementary, secondary, and college levels. The AAUW says the real crisis in education is the academic struggle for low-income, Hispanic, and African American children.
