About John Turner
Sr. Director of Marketing and Branding - Capital Area Food Bank of Texas

In his role as Sr. Director of Marketing and Branding, John is responsible for directing all aspects of the marketing, communications, media and public relations planning, and the day-to-day execution of those plans. This includes the proactive positioning of the Food Bank through internal and external communications, integrating the Food Bank brand strategies through the entire organization and at every point of public contact, using both traditional channels and social media.

Previous to this position Turner held several positions in Austin area non-profit organizations, including Director of Communications at SouthWest Key Programs, Marketing Director at United Way Capital Area, and Account Manager at American Cancer Society, as well as several management positions in the for-profit business world as well.  He holds a BSc Degree from De Montfort University in the U.K..
