Ms. Eason has been the Executive Director of The Arc since 1991 and is a summa cum laude graduate of St. Edward's University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She is active in planning services for people with developmental disabilities and in various community organizations including: the Austin Area Human Services Association, Community Action Network, United Way Capital Area and The Basic Needs Coalition.

Ms. Eason is Past-Chair of the Basic Needs Coalition of Central Texas and the CAN Developmental Disability Planning Body. In 2006, Ms. Eason received the Sheffield Award for Executive of the Year from the Austin Community Foundation. Ms. Eason brings her expertise as a parent of a daughter with disabilities and almost 28 years of professional experience at The Arc of the Capital Area in various capacities.
