When I realized how impactful our program was, I knew I was exactly where I wanted to be.

When you were 10, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was 10, I wanted to be a marine biologist. In fact, I carried that dream all the through my sophomore year of college out in California. Once I realized I wanted to live in Austin, I started reconsidering things...

What's the thing you wished you had studied in school, but didn't?

When I changed my major from marine biology to biopsychology, I found my nitch. I can't think of anything more perfectly suited for me than biopsychology. The combination of why we act or feel a certain way and the biological basis behind it was fascinating to me. I actually loved studying!

How long have you lived in Austin? What brought you here?

I have lived in Austin 21 years. I took a four year break to go to school in California, but hurried on home to the Lone Star State. I love Austin weather, lakes, and culture.
