About James Broaddus

Dr. James A. Broaddus has served on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area in many capacities over the past seven years. He has served as President, Vice President of Expansion & Asset Management; a member of Finance & Resource Development Committees; and Chair of the “Somebody” Spring Luncheon, the Club’s largest annual financial development event.

Jim’s professional career has spanned 40 years as a U.S. Navy officer, engineer, industry executive and project management authority.  He is currently President of Broaddus & Associates, a firm that plans & manages the construction of major building projects throughout Texas.  Among scores of notable accomplishments, Jim was appointed by the President to serve as the Chairman of the National Institute of Building Sciences.  Jim and his wife Kay reside in Austin and support causes related to uplifting young people.
