About Guy Diedrich

Guy Diedrich is the Founder and President of Austin Technology Ventures. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University, Mr. Diedrich co-founded and served for 11 years as President and CEO of GRA Inc., a software development and consulting company specializing in process optimization and business efficiencies. He then founded ATV to leverage his business experience to the benefit of start-up and growing companies. In 2004 Mr. Diedrich returned to his alma mater as Managing Director, Technology Commercialization Center at Texas A&M University. In December of 2005 he was named Vice Chancellor for the Texas A&M University System and was responsible for managing the Office of Technology Commercialization. Mr. Diedrich ultimately held responsiblility for the Office of Federal Relations in addition to his OTC role. Upon his departure from Texas A&M in June 2010, Mr. Diedrich relaunched Austin Technology Ventures.

Mr. Diedrich is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Trauma Society and holds memberships in the Royal Economic Society, Society of Business Economists and the Texas A&M College of Science External Advisory and Development Council. He is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Cambridge where he is researching the economic value of trust in organizations as a member of King’s College. He is a reviewer for the Cambridge Journal of Economics, is a published author in the fields of medical psychology and cost accounting and a frequent speaker on the subjects of business operations, global competitiveness and technology commercialization.
